Welcome
A community rich in faith, seeking the Kingdom of God
I hope that you will share your prayers, your presence and your talents with us. Together, may we work to do the Lord's work, and may we all grow in God's wonderful love.
Rev. Jarosław (Jerry) PilusPastor, SS. Peter and Paul Parish
Whether you grew up in this parish, are new to the neighborhood, or are looking for a Polish-language Mass, you are welcome here. The parish serves the Polish Catholic community of metro Detroit and every Catholic living within its boundaries, along with anyone who chooses to make SS. Peter and Paul their house of worship.

A personal parish
Polish by heritage. Catholic for everyone.
In 1923 forty Polish families, many drawn west by Ford's new Rouge plant, asked the Bishop of Detroit for a church of their own. A hundred years later SS. Peter and Paul is a personal parish, established to serve the Polish Catholic community across the Archdiocese of Detroit.
Holy Mass and the sacraments are offered in Polish, confession is heard in Polish and English, and the parish's Polish traditions are still kept, from the blessing of Easter baskets to the feast of Our Lady of Częstochowa. Everyone is welcome at every one of them.

1923 – 2023
A Century of Catholic Tradition
On June 25, 2023 the parish marked its 100th anniversary with a Traditional Latin Mass celebrated by Fr. Jerry Pilus, with Auxiliary Bishop Robert J. Fisher in attendance, followed by a Polish dinner in the parish hall.
