One hundred years on Grandville Avenue
The parish marked its centennial with a Traditional Latin Mass celebrated by the pastor, Fr. Jerry Pilus, with Detroit Auxiliary Bishop Robert J. Fisher in attendance. Altar servers, an honor guard, the choir and a full church filled the sanctuary. Afterward everyone went across to the parish hall for a Polish dinner.
For the anniversary the parish adopted a crest that joins its two patrons: St. Peter's keys, one gold and one silver, crossed behind the sword of St. Paul, under the words A Century of Catholic Tradition.
